What a waste of time. Told us we were covered so I cancelled my old policy. Then State Farm or the underwriter tells us we need a build an access or set of stairs up to a fire escape or we'll get dropped. Scrambling in the middle of the night to get the old policy rewritten which isn't easy in a fire area. In her response she says that she was responsive and spent a lot of time with us. She wasn't honest with us. Never did she say that we were subject to underwriting and not to cancel the old policy. And our structure is not at risk of death or some other insurance drama. Stay away! In response to her comments, our property does not need repairs. The cabin has an outside ladder for wintertime access. It was built that way and signed off by the County Building department. There are other ways to address the underwriters concerns, but they weren't willing to listen. Fortunately I was able to re-write my old policy and keep coverage
